Top 5 Tips

  1. Please do not put hot pans / objects directly onto kitchen surfaces. They will melt, and will require repair/replacement (from your security deposit). Please use the heat protective mats and trivets provided.
  2. The kitchen hot tap takes a little while to heat up - give it time
  3. Please take the time to view all of the informational videos. This will maximise your enjoyment of Coco Palms and the local surroundings
  4. Hire a golf buggy to easily navigate your way around the Jolly Harbour complex, this is especially handy for taking out the trash

Coffee Machine Summary

Due to popular demand, we have summarised the salient points regarding the operation of the coffee machine.


We recommend the first coffee maker of the day performs the following tasks before selecting and making a coffee.


1.    Fills up the water jug (from the kitchen cold water tap is fine)

2.    Cleans the drip trays (empties them and discards and coffee powder residue)

3.    Checks the coffee bean tray (a full tray typically lasts about a week)

4.    Fills up the milk jug, and attaches it to the machine


We recommend the milk jug is topped up with milk and put back in the fridge after every coffee machine use. Antigua is a warm environment and even UHT milk lasts longer when chilled.


Running out of milk, coffee beans or water halfway through making a coffee doesn’t make for nice coffee. Best to perform checks before making the coffee.


The drip trays may need emptying several times per day if much liquid is spilled in them. The machine will advise you when this is necessary.

Swimming Pool & Garden Maintenance

The swimming pool is maintained weekly - usually on Thursdays by Oneal and his team. During this weekly visit the pool is cleaned and the appropriate chemicals are added to ensure the water remains beautifully clean and healthy.


To keep the pool looking perfect, we would recommend that guests skim the pool daily with the net provided to remove any bugs or leaves that may accumulate on a daily basis.


Our gardener is called Kevin. You can expect to see him twice weekly, on Wednesday afternoons and Saturday mornings.

Security Deposit

The villa management company does not provide the following services. Please ensure that you perform the following tasks or notify the villa management company if you need assistance in these matters.


  • Emptying the bins
  • Cleaning the coffee machine and BBQ
  • Stain removal


Unfortunately, failure to do so will result in payments being taken from the security deposit by villa management  to pay to have the activities carried out.
